Woodward Dream Cruise

Anyone plan on making it this year??

I planned on it years ago, but still no closer to making it....

one of the only things I miss about living up there....

I know they better hurry up and get the construction done out there, they have Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham torn up pretty good right now with Maple closed also there and they are working on Woodard between 14 mile and Big Beaver/Quarton also with lane closures.
The parking lot where GM would set up at 13 mile and Woodward is a new full on construction site right now.
I usually go out there with the Monte and make a few laps but I doubt I will make it this year.

The cruise is August 18th. They usually have most construction wrapped up before the cruise but this is the most I have seen in this area since the cruise started with many other cities like Royal Oak also doing construction and surrounding areas on top of 696 being completely closed westbound from I-94 to I-75 which puts all of these people on surface streets.

I was thinking about it as my brother lives in Windsor, and we have a bunch of friends in Michigan.

But, if it is going to be extra crappy - I can aim for next year.

My wife and I go every year and go to Back to the Bricks in Flint which happens at the same time.😎

I'll be there, the family and I have a good spot on Woodward at the light in front of Papa John's. We have our own little small gbody section.

I'm feeling the same way because mine is under construction right now too. For many years I wouldn't go because it was depressing to see all the cars and I didn't have one. I worked at Beaumont Hospital right there of off woodward so I was tortured for years.
