1.Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2.A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3.Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5.Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6.Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7.Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8.Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9.Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.
10.Free education for all children in public schools. Combination of education with industrial production.

These are the core beliefs of a political party, would you support a candidate who espoused them?

(I will post the source after some debate)

Or, here are the beliefs of another system to consider:

1 Whoever has no citizenship is to be able to live only as a guest, and must be under the authority of legislation for foreigners.
2 The right to determine matters concerning administration and law belongs only to the citizen. Therefore we demand that every public office, of any sort whatsoever, whether the county or municipality, be filled only by citizens.
3 We demand that the state be charged first with providing the opportunity for a livelihood and way of life for the citizens. If it is impossible to sustain the total population of the State, then the members of foreign nations (non-citizens) are to be expelled.
4 All citizens must have equal rights and obligations.
5 The first obligation of every citizen must be to work both spiritually and physically. The activity of individuals is not to counteract the interests of the universality, but must have its result within the framework of the whole for the benefit of all Consequently we demand:
6 Abolition of unearned (work and labor) incomes. Breaking of rent-slavery.
7 In consideration of the monstrous sacrifice in property and blood that each war demands of the people personal enrichment through a war must be designated as a crime against the people. Therefore we demand the total confiscation of all war profits.
8 We demand the nationalization of all associated industries (conglomerates).
9 We demand a division of profits of all heavy industries.
10 We demand an expansion on a large scale of old age welfare.
11 We demand the creation of a healthy middle class and its conservation, immediate communalization of the great warehouses and their being leased at low cost to small firms, the utmost consideration of all small firms in contracts with the State, county or municipality.
12 We demand a land reform suitable to our needs, provision of a law for the free expropriation of land for the purposes of public utility, abolition of taxes on land and prevention of all speculation in land.
13 We demand struggle without consideration against those whose activity is injurious to the general interest. Common national criminals, and so forth are to be punished with death.
14 The state is to be responsible for a fundamental reconstruction of our whole national education program, to enable every capable and industrious American to obtain higher education and subsequently introduction into leading positions. The plans of instruction of all educational institutions are to conform with the experiences of practical life. The comprehension of the concept of the State must be striven for by the school as early as the beginning of understanding. We demand the education at the expense of the State of outstanding intellectually gifted children of poor parents without consideration of position or profession.
15 The State is to care for the elevating national health by protecting the mother and child, by the encouragement of physical fitness, by means of the legal establishment of a gymnastic and sport obligation, by the utmost support of all organizations concerned with the physical instruction of the young.
16 We demand legal opposition to known lies and their promulgation through the press.
17 We demand freedom of religion for all religious denominations within the state so long as they do not endanger its existence or oppose the moral senses of the populace.
18 For the execution of all of this we demand the formation of a strong central power. Unlimited authority of the central government over the whole country and its organizations in general. The forming of state and profession chambers for the execution of the laws made within the various states of the Union. The leaders of the Party promise, to support by the execution of the points set forth above without consideration.

This too is the platform of a political party.

lol

first one is a form of democratic party and hell no I wouldnt vote for it. The other is a conservative form, id lean towards the conservative end.

The Soviet Union fell on these principles along with other communist regimes. It is a total failure of a plan and I do not see how anyone can support these principles.

Please note, I never said I support either one, but both have been tried to various levels of success in several nations around the world.

No and No.

1. Communist Manifesto
2. National Socialism or the Nazi Party Platform

It's scary how close we are moving toward these directions. Take away a few liberties and keep growing the central power of the government and what's left of our fragile Democracy can fall pretty quick.

Actually, that was my point. People throw around terms like Fascism and Communism, but do not really know what they mean. I purposely deleted the racial references from the Nazis and the outdated language about child labor from Marx. It is also interesting to note the similarities in several areas between the two philosophies/platforms. Both came into prominence during times of economic turmoil in the nations which were the earliest adopters. It is amazing how easy it is to get people to believe you when they are in desperate financial situations and you are a smooth talker who pushes all the right buttons. It's something to think about this November, isn't it?

Well you can apply those terms to current trends today. Like using taxpayer dollars to bail out a private business or allowing search/seizure/wiretapping without a warrant, just to name a few.

But honestly, neither side is going to save our Republic from an 'ism'. Until the Republicrats abandon the NeoCon principles of a larger more powerful central government that advocates pre-emptive war while sacrificing our personal liberties at home, our path will continue in the same direction toward an 'ism'.
