I am pretty lucky to still have my cell phone. I was picking up the kids today, then we went to go visit their mom (my GF) at work. It's about a 20 minute drive. And at least 5 minutes of that is on the highway. But when I was getting the kids in the car, I set my phone on the roof of my car and forgot all about it. And when I got to my destination, some guy comes up to me and says "You know there's a cell phone on your roof?".

I'm just amazed that it was still there. And it never moved an inch lol.

I don't think your car is very aerodynamic

What are you talking about? You mean square isn't aerodynamic? lol

did this, had a rachet with extension and socket stay on my roof for a 20 minute drive.
it was on my honda tho.

Not quite the same, but just as miraculous. I lost my 10mm socket in the engine compartment of a mid 90's Buick Regal while working in a dealer shop years ago. A few weeks later the same car came back in the shop for another repair. I never thought I'd see that socket again, but ended up finding it.

I've left a 20oz pop on my roof before and when I started driving, it just fell right in my car through the sun roof

my fiance left her blackberry on the roof of a friends car last weekend, and wasn't so lucky. lucky for us a good samaritan found it while she was walking the dog and called me to tell me she was leaving it in my mailbox.

I left my cell phone on the roof of my old Sentra once. It made it about two houses before falling off. A neighbor of mine found it and thought it weird that people were trying to call me all night long-as late as 3am!

I remember my dad doing the same thing once but with a cup of coffee. It was one of those travel mugs with the foam pad on the bottom, it didn't move an inch.

This reminds me of a time when I was still in high school. I was driving my Monza, just leaving school. And I was following another student who was driving a Jeep. His books were on the roof, and in about 1-2 minutes he lost everything. My and my friends were just laughing. Then someone said "Hey, where are your books?". I then reached up onto my roof (while I was still driving) and grabbed my books. Again, I was lucky enough not to lose anything.
