From what I have read about fusible links there is a pretty complex calculation that determines the length of link. It figures in wire size, length, circuit amperage, underhood temperatures and some other things. Seems like an impossible task to be sure about length without having an engineer...
Well I put a call into Caspers, have used them before for some stuff. They said it might work but being they dont know vehicle and wire lengths they could not say for sure. I get it as they dont want to be accountable for 🔥 lol. Nice guys though.
I figured this was going to be a hard one to get answered. Also wondering if I am changing the junction point and not reconnecting at starter…would that change specifications for link?
Unfortunately I do not. Just the two 12awg wires coming out of bulkhead connector and 12awg @ C497. I have new fusible link wire but I have read the specific length is highly important
Hey all, just looking to see if anyone has any innovative or creative ideas on where they mounted their remote ignition coils for msd boxes. Post pics if possible please 🙏
Manifold ports all used. Heater feed, temp sensor and added tstat riser for elec fan sender. Heater nipple I was referring to is heater return in radiator
I wish my heater port was threaded…just hose nipple. I just assumed water flowing erodes anything it might expedite deterioration of anode. Either way I feel better with it in there
I put mine in place of drain. On Becool radiator it is on pass side bottom of tank. Wondering if it will hinder flow on outlet or deteriorate faster because it is in direct flow? 🤔
Hmm you are correct, Griffin was telling me this style would fit factory hold downs as opposed to their performance fit. Glad you pointed this out. Kind of a deal breaker for me already
