‘78-80 Cutlass hardtop info and taillights needed

Hey guys, I’m in need of a bit of help here.

As some of you may know, I’m in the midst of doing the paint and body work on my ‘80 Cutlass Calais, the result of repairing damage caused by the vinyl roof it had on it. I’ve been accumulating the parts necessary for converting the car to a hardtop, I already have the necessary chrome trim and even the hardtop specific filler panel that goes in between the back window and trunk lid.

However when I mocked up the hardtop filler panel for the first time tonight, the filler panel doesn’t sit on the plastic standoff’s underneath it properly. I’m wondering if there is a difference in standoffs’ between hardtops and vinyl roof cars. Can somebody post a pic of a hardtop standoff so I can compare it to mine and see if there’s a difference?

Here’s what my vinyl roof standoff’s look like:

I would just use the vinyl roof filler panel, but I believe the angle that the chrome trim rests against is different causing the trim to lay flatter than it should:

I’m also in search of a set of ‘78 taillight lenses. These need to be ‘78 only as they are specific to the chrome bezel with rocket cutouts that sit over top of them. ‘79 and ‘80 lenses won’t work, I’ve already tried. The lenses need to have this raised bump in the center of the lens:

Both of the ‘78 lenses that I have here are cracked, I’m looking for a pair in good shape.

For the stand offs, it may be a difference in the metal ones spot welded in. I know they differ on between certain years/models/options. But with the plastic part, there should be the trim retainer molded as part of it to hold the lower trim if it mounts like my Montes. On the Monte, the panel screws down to the metal stand offs with the plastic retainers clip into the window side edge.

No problem Mike, thanks for looking. I really appreciate it. Would you consider selling the one that isn’t cracked? Only need the lenses but would consider buying the complete assembly if needed.

Any one got or can get pics of the hardtop stand-offs? That’s my main priority at this point.

Donovan, here are some pictures . As was cleaning the dirt off I noticed two small cracks . Neither are noticeable with chrome bezel installed. If you are interested you can have this lense. Just pay for the ride to Canada
