Still not happy with emergency brake after rear end swap. Working on it but not there. Works partially. Until I figure out the fix I think I will install a line lock. I know that when it is on and the car off it will have an electrical draw but as it will be used sparingly it is not an issue. Any ideas on one that will be easy to install? My plans is to lock front brakes.
Thoughts?

One reason for having an e-brake on a car is redundancy, so if the hydraulics fail you can stop with the e-brake. A line-lock will only work when the hydraulics are ok. Other then that, I don't see a problem with it. But keep in mind that the line-lock might open the circuit when the battery is drained.

If you are using a factory ebrake and a 9" drum brake you need to cut off a couple of coils on the spring that wraps around the cable for them to work correctly.

Something is wrong. I used new Raybestos cables all the way from the pedal to the drums. The brake works great even on a boat ramp.

I used the Performance Unlimited 9" rear end with disc brakes. I had to go with Explorer brake cables and still not happy. I actually got tired of messing with it and felt it would be better for my blood pressure to back off of it and give it a fresh look later. In the temporary mean time though it would be nice to have a back up plan
