Yea, cross shaft is the same for both sides. Mixing them would push the tires back towards the firewall.

What size tire/wheel? A 27" tire on a 3.5" BS wheel can hit the plastic turning. 26" tires shouldn't have a problem until you go to 8" wide wheels. It would be hard not to hit the plastic on most G-bodies with a 15X8 if they are aligned for max caster.

what is the offset of the wheels?

off topic...it looks like you have a power steering leak. The power steering fluid will wash away the grease in the center link fitting at the pitman arm and it will wear prematurely.

A 225/70R15 is 27.4" dia. That may be the issue. I would go with a 215/65 up front if your on a budget for the time being.

I am thinking the same thing. Not being the stock tire size and depending on the rim and any offset is going to cause issues. My nephew had a few rims and tires from his GMC and they were 15s but wider and they fit ok when they were straight and seemed ok turning the wheels back and forth at rest, but driving I had fender rub over bumps and rubbing inside the fender well. I honestly thought there was enough room. My suspension was stock.

Plus having all that suspension work just done have another mechanic take a look in case something might have been installed improperly. You never know?

Good luck!
