    Roof Rack Expansion Nut Headache

Good Afternoon Wagon Lovers! I too am looking for the same hardware but for a '79 which has phillips head screws. Any idea on sizing for them? Thanks in advance. **Edit** Got some of the hardware out and was able to verify, a 1979 with phillips head screws is also M6x1.0.

    Electric Fan Help

Where would be the best place to get the SPST relays if I found a 300M fan setup? And then I would also need to know what Temp sensor to use right?

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

So, a full 2 summers have went by and I failed to get any updates posted. Visually Guss hasn't changed much. Same look but now with a little weathering of a driver. But, last spring we did the heart transplant. I got some custom exhaust made with Porter Mufflers and I loved the sound (even...

    Electric Fan Help

First off, I apologize if this info is in another thread. I've searched a while and haven't found it. I did find the attached diagram but was hoping someone could help with the parts. I know that there are popular fan assemblies out there (Taurus, Intrepid, ect.) but it's the other stuff I...

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

My filler pieces are all original. Good luck with finding some for yours. What I do need to do something with is the black plastic that runs along the front and rear bumpers. As you can see, they are each missing part of them.

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

Well, it's been a while since I've updated so here we go... This summer has been my first in 17 years that I haven't raced stock cars. So I've had a little more time to tinker with Guss. The faithful 267 is still running fine so any motor swap thoughts were put on the back burner and I got a...

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

It took me a while but here is a more recent pic. From this morning actually. Stupid Minnesota! And due to my AWD Astro taking a crap on me, I've been forced to drive the wagon the last week. Figures this is the year we keep getting snow storms towards the end of April.

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

She was loving until she could ride in a booster seat in my other vehicles but not in Guss. Now that she can use the booster AND sit in the front seat, we'll have to drive the wagon everywhere. I'll try to get some pics of it when some snow melts. Just to update the little progress I made...

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

Well, I was just about to bring the wagon out of storage last weekend. Good think I didn't. Stupid Minnesota!! I'm clearly not as ambitious as some of you with your wagon projects. As long as mine drives, I'm loving it. Last summer though, my Daughter (age 4) was starting to dislike...

    WTB interior

Holy crap! It looks like you took pics of my interior and posted them. I'm in the same boat. I'm working on the body first and will just tint the windows to try and hide the inside.

    Danginharl's 1980 Malibu Wagon Project

Very cool find! I hope you have fun with it. I too found the car I've always wanted (very similar to yours) and I've made very slow progress. I can't wait to see your updates. Mine are at: http://gbodyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=32860

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

Also since my last posts, I changed wheels, tires, and rear springs. The rears were way too big and the previous owner had it all jacked up just to clear. That Monte I picked up had some pretty decent 14's on it so that's what I've been running on. I lowered the rear back down and I like how...

The Story of "Guss" (1979 Malibu Wagon)

Well, I've actually made a little progress this spring. Finally got the rust free fenders on and the header panel replaced. I've been driving it alot and I'd much rather be multicolored over rusty and busted. I'll update with some pics soon. Less than a week after I changed those parts, I...
