Here's a little exhaust clip of my 85 SS. 355 with true duals, h-pipe, headers, no cats and jegs flowmaster mufflers.
I've also decided to throw in a video of what it sounded like with just straight exhaust before I put the mufflers on. You cant even hear the Camaro haha
The only smack I really get is old schoolers starting the "no, thats not a real muscle car" convo.. Oh, and when people tell me I have a nice Grand National.. Thanks, but uhhhhhhh
Was driving the Monte but I finally caught LS fever.. Had to get a second vehicle to pick up parts, and to drive while the SS is under surgery. Decided to keep it classic
Heres what I got. I really dont like the random gauges around the interior.. Thanks for the input. I'm going to be saving up for the Dakota Digital Analog gauges. It also seems I caught the fever.. ended up ordering some Eibach lowering springs as well :)
I'm just a bit of a worry wart when it comes to my gem. I just ordered this gauge kit http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000R5G0DO/?tag=gbody-20 So now I will just wait for it to get here.. Get to finally test my trans pressures as well. Another battle I've been having.
Hey guys I'm coming to my g body family once again for some advice on this oil pressure issue. The issue you ask? It's low.. or at least low enough to worry me. Cold start pressure is somewhere in the 15psi range.. but drops to just around 1 or 2 psi after hot. Never goes above maybe, 28 psi...
Yes it was a bit of a relief! The heads had the valve job and milled, but no porting was done. Budget was starting to get up there! Rockers still arent here, ended up ordering them overnight from jegs today. Tomorrow!
The 355 swap was good, but not good enough. So i went ahead and picked up myself up a set of vortec heads. Heads were $200 used plus $265 from the machine shop so $565 in the heads. Plus the additional stuff required, the head swap was about a $1500 job with me doing the work. I also didnt go...
It was great at first, but then I thought it felt slower or i had just gotten used to it really fast. Turns out it did have a hiccup.. details in next post, more to come :D
Thanks for the welcome as well!
