I was thinking that the roof is specific for 78-80, 80-88...however when I found the link on my original post on this thread, got me thinking otherwise since it says theyre making t-top conversions for 78-88. than that opens more doors (or windows) to chop a top of a junker.
Has anyone ever done a hardtop to t-top conversion on this style car? if so. Will a slightly newer style g-body work? or what year and model would have the same form fitment to section out the t top? I searched and found this site. says it will have a whole conversion but will be super costly I...
Well I dropped the tank got to the sending unit, removed the intank sock filter, put it all back together and good to go!!! Thanks to all with the great knowledge. 8)
So were talking about dropping the fuel tank. Remove the sending unit and just take that "sock " filter off ...
*UPDATE* I removed the tank (last fall and forgot to reply) but there was the fuel sock in the tank on the fuel line which I removed and she stays running! thx guys!
Got no return line hooked up considering I went to an edelbrock carb and was told that I'm past that now (all those vacuum lines). The Holley electric fuel pump is set at 7psi and 80gph. I'm pretty weary about not using a fuel filter also. Yesterday I fired up the car and yes it stalled again...
I considered removing the inline screen filter that is between the fuel tank and pump...it is not recommended due to a good chance of little debris clogging and /or pump damage. Unless there is definitely a filter of some sort in the tank itself from the fuel outlet?
