well i found a place in cleveland only 50 miles away, they said 65.00 cut and balanced i dont think thats a bad deal. thanks everybody for the responses. this site is great.
well guys the bb is almost ready to fire up and i went to put the driveshaft in and yes i forgot it is too long. if i had a driveshaft shop near i could get it cut but i dont . does anyone know of a driveshaft from another car that will fit and yes im using the th400

if you took your module to the local parts store to have it checked, the tester they use only test one side of the module. i ma not the type to just throw a new part in to see if it works but i have had this happen before and i put a new module in and the car runs just fine. for less than 20.00...
im assuming you took the bolt out where it holds to the transmission. they can be a little stubborn at times, all there is on it is a o-ring . just try turning it back and forth a little while pushing up on it and it should come out.

yes i relize the 400 didnt come in a gbody. the reason for lookin is you never know what a company might make being that everybody has there own engine and transmission combos. and i want prebent so i can retain the factory look. i just dont know if the lines need bent or trimmed at the transmission end...

ok so im ready to buy transmission lines for my 86 el and i have a 400 trans and i want the look of the original lines. so my question is i have been looking and all i find are lines for the th350, what is the difference in the th350 and th400. i dont think it would be a length issue...
