SPAL's fans are expensive, and now that you mention it they are noisy lol.. I wonder if a person could find a set of quitter fans that could be removed from the factory shroud? (I like the look of a full aluminum shroud).. I've used cheaper fans from Speedway on a couple customer cars, they're...
That engine is sweet!! but 1 thing, and just a question really.. I saw in another thread you used a set of electric fans out of a caravan (i think)... why not a something like a spal or flexalite dual fan set up? a set of trick fans would look great with that engine.... (I've built a couple cool...
Haha, when I took my test the second time in my dad's Dodge.. we walked outside and there's a little cavalier sitting next to it, and he walked to the pass. side of it, then I pointed to the big red diesel and he got the instant "oh sh*t, this kid is gonna kill me face"
Wish I had a "pucker...
I get all my Olds paint from Fusick... Dave is great.. nobody had the Olds Red I needed, but he did.. I got a case of it at his cost plus shipping. He's got all the other colors too. (It's custom mixed Krylon High Temp, and I'm pretty sure you can get it in spray bombs or in cans)...
easy to tell a pontiac before '57 (well it's easy to tell '57 up too)... but the "silver streaks" give it away..
I miss the days when you could tell a pontiac from a chevy.. or a ford from a merc. etc.
nothin' wrong with AMC power!! I had a chance to get an early 70's 401 but they scrapped the car before I could get to it... That would have been a sweet engine in a little hot rod..
The Eagle sounds cool too! love the 258's and 4.0L's....
The subs I have figured out.. that's easy.. 2 DC Audio 12's, and my new Audioque 2200.d Amp.. the extra battery is under the hood though (got a battery set up off a diesel monte). I've got 2 big Kinetic batteries waiting to go in...
And I think I have the speakers figured out..
2 JL 350.4...
I'll start a thread when I get off work, with some pics..
Boost is sweet! And with one of the older McCulloch/Paxton blowers the engines don't need much modification.. I've seen plenty on stock engines (though most 50's engines had low comp.) Here's a build thread on a '51 Rambler on a hot rod...
Re: Worst modification you can make to a g body
I got the blower idea from Hot Rod, there was a little modified roadster that had a supercharged straight 8 packard.. cool as hell... http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/ ... index.html But Kaiser had a blown flat head I6 in the 50's, along...
Re: Worst modification you can make to a g body
I'll have to dig some up of when it was in mock up.. it's all blown apart in the shop now.. I'm debating on sticking with the coupe body or going with a '26 Willys Sedan I shortened down into a pick up cab with a model A box.. The coupe body...
Re: Worst modification you can make to a g body
You drive for 7 years with out air you get used to it... And I've got an '03 Ram 3500 if I want heat and air....
Also my ego and bragging rights always come before comfort... a bit off topic but My '22 Dodge Coupe is chopped 5" not because it's...
Re: Worst modification you can make to a g body
My 425 has plenty of torque too, but with that box gone you'll be able to see it better! 3 Rochesters on top suckin' fuel makes you forget about how hot it is...
