How many miles you put on?

ss4ever, I really like the wheels. 245/50/16s all the way around? I am with you I don't expect any gas mileage when I drop the hammer and play but useing 1/3 less fuel when useing the car to get from a to b is very cool. In part its why I often put 5 or 6 thousand a year on instead of 5 or 6...

    My 87 Build & Pictures

You can see by the pics it has an Olds motor in it now. At that age especially most just follow the herd so to speak as they have no practical experience with other power plants and or anything else to take into consideration. At 14 he probably does not know anything about the Olds 350/403...

    Swap question's. 5.0 v8 to 350

They also used 5.0l designation for the Olds 307. If it has the oil fill tube up front its an Olds 307 if not they your good to go. Someone else can help you with the rest.

"great fuel economy and performance and something drastically different all at the same time." Very cool. There were guys talking about doing this swap over on oldspower.com a few weeks ago. What kind of mileage does she get and have you ever taken her down ye ole quarter mile to see where...

    83' 307 olds out- sbc 350 in ?

Sheesh its about as much work to go from a 307 to a sbc as it was to go from from the 307 to the big Cad. I think I would keep the sbc for my pu and find an Olds 350/403 for direct drop in and bolt up. Nahh that would be too eazy how about a Ford motor.

How many miles you put on?

Only about 4,500. Next year will be better.

    '86 2+2 6.2L

All that project needs is the new Eaton supercharger ala the Bluebird Corvette and the 620+ HP.

    WHICH DOT DRAG TIRES!?!?

Of the drag radials Nittos seem to last the longest and also do reasonably well in the rain when new. Maybe 20,000 miles if you don't burn em off and run em down.

    F41 Springs or Equivalent?

Yea you are 100% right on the shocks. I also have some KYBs but am a fan of the Eldebrock ISAs and Bilensteins. Much firmer yes but the 5658 won't make it harsh or bone jarring log waggon ride or race car ride. On bushings I would say new better is it durameter (sp?) rubber bushings that they...

    my grand prix

A 383 with AFR heads NOW were talkin! The paint and car look good. At least not in dire need of a paint job. Have you had her to the track yet? Does she just have a 7.5 rear? A 750 Holley double pumper 373s lumpy cam whatever the hell that is and a 3 speed daily driver bet you are glad gas...

    F41 Springs or Equivalent?

The Moog 5658 will not give you a harsh ride just firmer and take out floatyness etc. Harshness often come from poly in the wrong places. Poly is good for motor mounts, end links, sway bar bushings, transmission mounts, but not in your A arm stuff or even control arms which its often used in...

    MY 2nd AEROCOUPE! **FOR SALE??**

Great work and I love the ZRQ wheels. I have a friend with a GNX which also has 16x8 wheels. He has 245/50/16s on the front and 255/50/16s on the rear and I LOVE the stance and look of that car.

    F41 Springs or Equivalent?

Moog 5658 is a little stiffer than the factory f41 package springs. They are 1/4" shorter ride height and reasonably priced at most autoparts stores. The thicker front sway bar and the rear sway bar that come with that package help a lot! Also if find and get the sways bars (salvage yard or...
