I've found a 700R4 locally, and I'd like to rebuild it and swap it into my '86 Cutlass. It's a column shift car, will everything bolt up and work when I'm done? I plan on swapping for the rally gauge cluster later on.

x2 the later 700's are slightly more reliable stock, than the early 200-4r's but they are pretty even with the later 200's. and once they are modified the 200 actually has fewer problems. plus it has better overall gear ratios, and i believe it's lighter.flip66 said:Do you have 200r4 now if so just wondering why you want to swap. There is a grate debate over which is better the 700 or the 200 but most racers like the 200r4 better
