I went carb version ...... GMPP intake + regular distributor solves it ....
I`ve put the spindles + brakes from the impala on the cutlass ...GREAT for dirt cheap .....no bumpsteer at all
i put some bell lowered springs ....+ EMI straight tubular A-arms ..... geometry is right on !

is a 1980 442 W-30 with a 350 olds engine diff an 8.5" or a puny 7.5" ?
could get one , but car is seized in ice & snow ...cant check ! would pick in spring , if 8.5" :wink:

Is it rich when warm ? or cold ?
when warm; choke must be sticking on close ( choke spring to be changed )if electric, check if you have 12V reading on wire ....
when cold ; choke vaccum break not functionning choke stays totally close causing overich condition ( black smoke from exhaust)

tonight I dismantle my damn shuddering NAG 1 transmission ! ( third time t/c changed ,this time ,i rebuild it all)
being a bit too rerfectionnist ,I have a hard time to believe that my car could interest anybody ...
