    New to GBF

sweet sounds looks like you are moving right along with the car. I bought my 84 H/O not running as well it took a little time and some elbow grease but it now turns some heads:) and doesn't run half bad but I had to do away with the 307... a olds 455 just seemed a little more fun

Help! Fixed intake gaskets now trans is throwing codes

I agree with the other guys on wiring it is just to easy to have this issue after taking the top part of the engine apart, I had a mechanic fix a car of mine some years ago and pinched a wire and after a week of driving the wire broke and the car wouldn't start, the wire was one of the main...

    Gotta posi Q?

putting a posi in mine was easy I checked the backlash before i pulled it out, I already had the 3.73s, put the new yukon carrier in checked it, took the shims and swapped them from one side to the other and she was set perfect again, to date one of the easiest things done to my car.

    Sound deadening?

I probably added about 35 pounds but my Olds 455 should compensate for that

    Sound deadening?

I noticed a huge difference and my car came with an acoustic package from the factory, I did double layer in a few spots where i thought might make more of a difference. post some pictures when you decide on what to do:)

    Sound deadening?

i've tried peel and seal crap... in stinks and doesn't seem to work well, I used 100 feet of fatmat that it is pretty nice for the same price you would only get 30 feet of dynamat. Amazon sells fatmat at different sizes for pretty cheap, the 80 mill stuff is the best but more expensive then the...

so I found out a little more about my car after contacting Judy from H/OCA research library. She found that from my VIN my car is #1329 of the 3500 that were built. It was completed on 1-13-84 and sold to a Gary K. in N. Hollywood, CA. kinda fun to know some of that stuff:)

If only I had money! - Hurst/Olds for sale

looks like someone restored the outside pretty nice... the interior needs some work though. As far as the dual exhaust with out the cat thats not too bad... its almost like something I would do, oh wait I did;) I do agree the price seems high for not having a restored interior, but maybe that...

Bi+C# Thread for the nit-picky old men

I hate in when people call my Hurst something its not. It has been referred to quite a few times as a Monte Carlo... a Buick and even once a Cadillac. I also hate it when and this has happened more times then I can count, someone standing a few feet from the car in full view of the name plate...

Are fiberglass add-on hood scoops worth it?

I agree with MR442, I have tried and seen other try to attach fiberglass to a metal hood with fasteners and glues that claim to work but they always fail... some sooner then others. And for the price of using the best adhesives like lord fusor and others and then prime and paint you will be well...

Ha I know... it was trashed same with the visors but they are getting recovered with the same material to match. I will also be redoing the dash, can't stand some of the cracks it has, sun is a killer to cars, not to mention the previous owner didn't take very good care of it before it sat for...
