A friend of mine is going to look at an 86 GN with 31000 miles. Original paint, interior an 8 of 10 (needs headliner) Any idea on a ballpark price? Thanks Haj

Hard to say without seeing it. With any old car the car getting it to that point can make a big difference. The tires may have great tread but need replacement due to age, thus the price needs to reflect that. If she runs like a top great, tune up needed then take it into consideration. Check in your area if anything comparable is for sale. In my area (NY) rust is a big factor in cost.

Spend some time at the turbobuick.com cars for sale section. From memory, low mile 86-87 GNs, like the one you describe, have gone for $18-24k, over the last couple of years.
