HELP 5/8 wheel studs with 7/8 holes in wheels problem

Ran into a problem, I got a pair of Weld Draglite wheels. Test fitting on my axle and realized there was a little more slop than there should be. After measuring I found out the wheel holes are drilled out to 7/8… what options do I have? Thanks tor any help or advice.

5/8" studs usually have a large shank or require sleeves to fill the hole

I’ll check out the sleeves, I don’t see why someone would drill out the holes bigger, the setup I have is the second picture. And finding a shank style lugnut for 5/8 is difficult.

I don't why someone would drill the holes larger, I believe they are .69 from the factory

If you’re using 5/8 ‘drive studs’ (2nd pic from 565), then you’re all set. If you have upper photo studs, then that’s a no go.

I just went through this over the winter. Drag Lites work perfectly with 5/8 drive studs. 100-105 ft/lbs nut torque is plenty and much more will mar the aluminum.

I would agree youre going to need some kind of sleeve. They are designed to fit a 5/8" stud so there is not much you can do. I used them on my car with 5/8" studs and they were snug on the stud.

Thanks for all the help, I’ll search for a stud sleeve of some kind, if not that I’ll see what else I’ll be able to do. Might just end up selling them to a friend who uses the 4.5 bolt pattern. Appreciate everything!

Moroso or someone like that makes sleeves. I’ve seen photos of them somewhere.

If someone drilled out the 4.75 bolt pattern IMO sell them to your friend and buy rims that fit correctly, anything trying to make up the size difference seems like a "band aid" fix to me and could end up being a safety issue.
