Just curious if people still build model kits like I do. If so, show me what you got!

I used to build models. I have a pretty big Olds collection including the same 66 Olds you have. I tried building a Monte Carlo SS model to look like mine but ran into issues like finding a Pontiac Grand Prix model for the dash and center console  Im sure when I get everything back in order I will finish it.

I used to, but I bet it's been 15 years since I built a kit.
I got pretty distracted with 1/18th scale die-casts and modifying those instead, but it's been a few years since I did one of those too...

When Revell finally releases the G-body Cutlass model they've been working on I'll probably pick up one or two of those. 8)

My interest was in 1:48-scale aircraft. I think I started building about the same time Revell & Monogram & Testors & et al were all shifting to 1:72 (early '90s), so I stopped building when the 1:48s were basically all-gone (or too expensive) and high school sports & other things started taking-up more time. Still have a majority of them, too, even after moving 7 times in 10 years ....

I think we all now deal with 1:1 "kits"

I still build them off and on as time permits. I have at least 60 completed builds and around 40 in different build stages. I've had every Olds kit except for a couple of the rare old Johan type promos.
Funny thing is I have only ever had one G body kit and it's the GN.
Over half the kits I do are commercial trucks.

The first one I built was a '99 Kenworth W900. The big truck models seem easier since the parts are all so much bigger. I've got a '41 Plymouth Coupe model waiting for me to stop messing with the Cutlass long enough to make some progress on it

Same here; my GNX and MC-SS models have been lonely. And hoping that a G-Body GP is next... But REALLY hoping Revell brings back the Road & Track 1965 GT-350; I made the mistake of only buying one at the time, for the hella expensive price of $19 :blam: :blam:
