The interior make over took all summer, cutlass dash, new black carpet and headliner. Every thing was sprayed black with duplicolor vinyl paint. I know i am biased, but the cutlass dash with all the chrome trim goes excellent with the chrome trim on the stock 79 panels. i think it might be better than the *gasp* grand prix swap.

And here is what i will call stage 1. i had to get this thing going this summer or i would go crazy waiting all winter to enjoy it...

I got the new tails from a local guy of Craigslist. they look great in person.

sorry for all the average pics off my phone, and the multiple posts. i wasnt sure how to add pics without using attachments. this place has given me a lot of inspiration to keep going, like the 455rocket and the supercharged Bu in this months Gbody of the month.

great site and great work, keep it up eveyone

79' Malibu original paint. Re-did the interior myself over the winter time. Swapped the old 350 and TH350 out for an iron block 6.0L LQ4 truck engine and 4L60E built by Finish Line Trans in Wood Dale IL. Digital dash, Painless harness and so on. I have a build thread but I'll have to take better pictures of it when I'm not driving the car and enjoying it. I just find reasons to go drive the car now 8)

I'll take some better pictures in the daylight tomorrow after work. I got the car driving Friday night, got it aligned Saturday morning, and took it for a 30 minute drive down the highway in the rain, with no wipers, to a huge car show which really turned out to be like 150 or so cars which it's normally 800. Then went to a really nice car show Sunday morning. All the work payed off IMO!
seen this in Morris, very nice job.

Thanks man! It was quite a challenge getting there, it was raining lightly and I had no working wipers and drag radials on but the 30 minute trip was a blast. Shame the turnout wasn't as good as it normally is but still worth it. Hopefully I'll see you and your car out there again in Sept.

I keep forgetting to get new pictures I can't stop driving the car

No wipers on my Vette either, stock up on rainX or wax the windsheild. I will be there in sept. hope to take both cars if I can get a driver.
