Unless it is strickly a drag car I would stick with a bolt on hood.

x2 a steel bolt on is the best option IMO. Goodmark sells pretty good quality hoods.

well i got a pin on fiberglass hood. i was checking in to the bolt on fiberglass.but it was about 550.50 for the hood then another 175.00 for the hinges. i got a pin on hood for 375.00.

I agree with 565bbchevy, a pin on hood is ok for racing. You need two to remove it and it gets placed on the roof which isn't the best thing for paint. The pin on is cheaper cause it has less reinforcement since there are no hinges.

Good mark has Buick cowl hoods?
Do they have 78 regal hoods?

Goodmark will have a 84-87 regal straigh cowl steel and the same on the 81-88 Cutlass soon

They will also have a Bubble turbo regal hood soon. All in tooling production currently, will know more at end of Sept.
