Buick high back vs astro bucket change over

Can some one give me the skinny on when the regal went from a highback bucket seat to the adjustable headrest style?

The regals & all gbodys but the cutlass changed to the ones with separate headrests in 82 or 83. I personally prefer the highbacks, They were really oldsmobile seats.
