Can't get my door open

I'm in a tough spot. I went to open the passenger door on my 85 mc and felt a click. The handle went up but the latch didn't disengage. I can't get it open from the inside either. Any ideas how I can get the door open?

I'm sure I can figure out the problem once I can access it. But if anyone has dealt with this before and can tell me what it might be it would be great to have the new parts ready before I start taking things apart.

spay the lock mechanism with oil and let it sit for a while, same thing happened to mine and it was caused by rust

I was looking at it and my window molding is so deteriorated I can roll it down and have about 2 inches of access.
