I found an oem rear sway bar for my El Camino and I need some help finding the parts I need to install it. My current lower control arms are in good condition (minimal rusting) and I need the reinforcement parts that go inside them to mount the bar. My existing control arms are rust free and I'd like to try to find the parts before having to find and buy used arms online with the reinforcements already installed.

Based on my search results, I don't think I'm searching the correct terms.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy some new or used?
Or just tell me what I need to type in the google search to find what I need.

Thanks in advance.

Iflan84, all you need are bolts with nuts that go thru the lower arms and spacers. The spacers can simply be metal tubing that will resist/prevent the arms from collapsing/crushing once you tighten the bolts.

10000097. Need 2. Reinforcements for Lower Control Arms. And yeah, they're called reinforcements.

10000099 is the part number for shims. As required. USUALLY 2, maybe 4, but you never know.

Repros here. Not sure about quality, but this is what you get.

11517996. Need 4. Prevailing torque nuts for sway bar mounting bolts. M10 x 1.5 The newer nuts have flanges. Early originals didn't.

11508039. Need 4. Bolts for mounting sway bar. M10 x 1.5 x 65mm

Good luck finding the reinforcement parts new. They're getting like hen's teeth. The nuts and bolts you can get. All G-body factory installed sway bars had the reinforcements in hollow LCAs.

All of them. Even the GNX (which supposedly borrowed 442 mufflers but stamped numbers on the mufflers aren't supporting that). So if you see any G-bodies in the j/y with sway bar, they're in there.

Thanks for the info. I always prefer oem when I can get it.

Appreciate the info. Maybe I'll get lucky and find what I need locally that isnt too far gone from rust. Otherwise it looks like I'll be fabricating something.

I used washers, but I didn't fill the gap all the way and now I have a jingle of washers when I go over bumps. I plan to just get UMI lower control arms to resolve my issue.
