So I just got my motor back from the shop and the ball is rolling on getting this thing back on the road. I figured it'd be fun to try to guess what power this motor will make! Once it's in the car and running I'll be taking it to a chassis dyno so I'll share the exact numbers once I have them.

Specs:
SBC 355 (hydraulic roller), roughly 9.7-1 compression w/ forged rotating assembly
AFR Eliminator 195 heads
Custom comp cam .602/.608 lift, 235/243 duration, 110 lsa
Holley 750 double pumper
Edelbrock rpm air gap intake

For those wondering, it's going in a 1985 Monte Carlo with a built 200-4r trans, 3200ish stall, 3.73 gears (for now - I will need to do track testing with 28s to see if I need to up the gear ratio)

I would say 479 HP and probably 456 TQ at the crank. Hell rogue_ryder's Olds 358 with so so Procomp heads, smaller 221/229 roller cam and same compression made 436 HP and 471 ft-lbs with a 670 cfm carb. If old sbc Betsy doesn't beat both those numbers by a good margin, the HP especially, time shoot it dead behind the barn.

😂 I'll make sure to print this comment out and tape it to the motor when it's on the dyno - it needs to know it's under pressure!!
