Since my new interior is a shade off from my faded stock interior I am making new upper door panels with extra material that came with my seats, the rears I already made so I could get everything else to this point.

You can see my stock one on top and the new one below and I still haven't decided if I am going to completely black out the door handle or leave some chrome and I happened to a good amount of carbon fiber vinyl just to get an idea.

I started but striping off all of the material after carefully removing the inner felt and lock ferrule and with all the holes left I decided to glue thin cardboard over the top and run it to the top edge of the metal, I found cereal boxes worked really well. lol

From there I glued a layer of felt to give it a smooth base.

Then I laid out a simple design and used 1/4" thick hard foam and after that I glued those on.

And from there I carefully glued on my material and used a 1" roller to get the edges tight so as of right now this is what it looks like until I decide what the final look of the handle will be and I still have to remount the inner felt.

I took a spare handle and sprayed it black to get an idea of how that would look, might just go this route for the handle.

You made that look too easy! Looks good. I am curious as to what you are going to do with the wood grain on the dash?

I have already blacked out all of the woodgrain on the dash.

So I finished the upper door panels and decided to keep the chrome on the handle and flat black vinyl on the woodgrain, I figured there is enough chrome still in the interior.

I also relocated the power window switches to the lower half of the door, the harness works well in this spot also.

And here it is when I was doing the mock ups deciding what route to go with the handle.

Nice job man
Thanks, I figure they look a little better than my faded stock ones that were a shade off anyways.
Plus I like having a door speaker up high.
