2019 rolled around and I was still waiting patiently for the painter to make room in his schedule to take the car back in.... then I built a 30x45 shop and while I waited I worked on that.....till the end of the year. At this point a buddy in NC who knew a painter convinced me to dump the other guy(we settled up) and take it up. I took it up in March with plans to pick up in July.... which became Sept...lol

Finally picked it up in Sept of 2020.... spent a few days putting parts on and putting the glass and weather stripping back in for the ride home

After getting it home there was a ton of detail work to be done. I've known a lot of painters over the years and never met one that was a neat freak, just the nature of the beast I guess. Tons of overspray on things that I detailed years ago so it was pretty much a restart from scratch.

Front and rear suspension came out, sandblasted everything, rubber bushings out, polys in. Reinforced the rear control arms with 1/4" plate and shot everything in Eastwood Chassis Black. It has a perfect sheen to it, not flat and not really satin, right inbetween

Then I went after the front brakes, did the S-10 "ungrade". I know there are better setups, but for the price and the fact you get replaceable hubs and rotors it makes it the best bang for the buck IMO. All new parts from Rock Auto, only thing from the donor was the spindles and the shields. Everything cleaned up and waiting to go back in.

A buddy suggested this idea for how to suck both the fumes and overspray out, I also had a shopvac with an old sock over it while spraying to catch a majority of the overspray

So since it had come home, the timeframe was from the end of Sept till end of Dec when I got to take it out and see how it would launch couple days before christmas. G-body shuffle is almost completely gone now (y) So I dug thru old pics I had and got with a pinstriper to redo the exact pinstripes that were painted on from the factory when I bought it in 89.
