Need help wit ideas on what to do wit inner fender ??

So one of my main bolt( 15mm) that had shims the nut is strippef on the inner fender . It’s hard to find one anyone have ideas on what can I do ? Anyone run into this problem 1987 regal

Either try tapping it to a larger size, possibly SAE instead of metric or just cut off that nut and weld the correct size back on.

It will ALL depend on if it has to be correct, functional, your budget and skills.

The cut and weld on new nut is the absolute proper method if it has to be correct size. You need skills to grind without damage, weld and paint.
You could just let the stripped nut be a hole and install a new on top or drill and tap to next size.

You could also drill and tap it and then use a Helicoil style insert so you can use the original size fastener.
