OLDS OLDScool Cruzin - Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Well, I built this thing for car camping, so I went car camping. I took a month on the road with OLDScool, starting at the hot air balloon extravaganza that happens every year in Albuquerque. It's something everyone should see - it's crazoo cool.

I put 7910 miles on the wagon without the slightest hiccup, the trailer I built was a dream to drag behind - tracked true and clean.

This is the first of what will be a few videos of this adventure.

A few spots further north...

The Very Large Array, radiotelescope farm near Socorro, NM. Jodie Foster ripped through here in a 1969 Impala convertible in Contact.

The Rio Grande Gorge near Taos, NM. 600 feet straight down on that bridge.

Moving the flock down from the mountain pastures in September, Tierra Amarilla. The hairy llamas protect their brothers!

Ed, thanks for sharing the video of your adventure out to Albuquerque Balloon Festival. Awesome event. I do recall driving cross country twice, (once in the early '70's and once in the early '80's). and seeing the sea of balloons in flight....quite a sight. Never stopped in town to see all the hoopla.
They look like oversize fireflies when they're firing up...awesome sight.
Glad to hear that the car ran well and didn't skip a beat...
