Removing window trim "tar"

guys, need to remove all the gooey butyl or whatever it is that is all over my 1/4 Windows, trim, etc... What have you used that works the best?

Gas has worked good for me.

Wax and grease remover. Won't hurt the clear.

wd 40 with elbow griese , try bottle of goo gone , might help as well as other suggestions
