Hey guys I have a T10 in my 78 Malibu. I had 4.10 gears for a very brief period and the speedo worked but was off. I swapped to 3.23 and it stopped working. I determined it is on the transmission side as a drill turning the cable on that end, allows the speedometer to work. Could this be something like stripped speedometer gear? I see a kit on ebay with 5 different gears and a bullet, what exactly is the bullet and will i lose fluid when i pop the gear out?

Thanks Stew. Fluid does not spill out. I found my red 21t gear to be slightly chewed up but doesnt seem that bad. If the calculator online is correct I need a 20t which is on its way. I believe the drive gear to be the metal 1.84 od 8 tooth as i can count 5 teeth across thru the hole.
