Happy New Year, I'm a bit late posting but look what 69hurstolds sent me: IMG_20240102_202819535.jpg
Those are 3 NOS shift knobs for a set of Lightning Rods that also just arrived. The shifter needs a little love but these shiny black beauties will really make it pop once I can get a pro to fix it. Thank you very much, Mr. Rothe! You've really outdone yourself this time.

Ordered the tank and also went ahead and order a reman steering box. Mine had been leaking for some time, I was hesitant on ordering one because I wanted a quick ratio one. I ordered a Cardone 27-6550. Seems like some people have luck with those actually being quick ratio boxes.
From what I understand the 27-6550 is the quick ration gear, and 27-6530 is the standard ratio gear.

That was also my understanding. What I have also seen is some order the 6550 but get a standard ratio.

Very nice! You need to get ahold of Mike Macino to get those rods refurbished he does outstanding work.

So starting to change out the front springs on my ElCamino, dropping it 2”. Had to order new shocks ( looked newer but NOT!) found I need new spring bushings, upper ball joints ( rubber was crumbling) and upper control arm bumpers.
Thinking of putting 69’-72’ backup lights in the tailgate just not sure if the early tailgate had a flat area for the lights or if they form fit. Just little customization idea.

Pics of 69-72 backup light pockets. One of these tailgates the skin is junk the other the inner frame is junk keeping them incase one day I need to combine them to make one good tailgate.
