Anybody ever consider this swap? They are stuffing these in the e30 which are considerably smaller than our gbodys. Would be a very interesting swap and very different. I am at least considering it now for my next project. Yes I know alot of work will be involved. The same could be said with swapping a ls1 and keeping the fuel injection.

kinda, its like puting a ford in a chevy, so to speak. i dunno, im biased. i think putting a corvette motor in a 3 series or a 240z is cool, but the other way around i think is stupid. just an opinion...

Agreed.

I'd like to add, the swap will add another 3 seconds to your 1/4 mile times, on average. So in addition to being stupid, it's also dumb.

And yet there are so many that'll put a Chevy in an Olds. 😉

I say do it. A project I'd like to take on is a Mercedes V12 into a G-body.

Theres a couple of known rappers here on the west side of town that have V12's in their 71 Chevelels. Boy are they sweet and sound like monsters!

Excellent point.

I'd say do it, just to be different. But it would cost a sh*t-ton knowing those cars...
