There are tons, your buddy hasn't tried hard enough. Seriously they are everywhere. Search T56 disassembly, the videos tend to be broken down into parts or else they'd be 2 hours long. Here's the video I used to set up endplay/preload my last time around. You'll find numerous bad examples of how to measure with a dual indicator, I wouldn't recommend it. Especially when you see dudes with the trans laying down horizontally measuring, they definitely f'd it up.

I stood it on its end for tear down. I didn't think it was that bad to work on. Too bad the one I was working on was thrashed. Post 64 for pics.....

Galaxy far far away
Fired up the Ole 46 tractor for the first time this year to haul some logs from a fallen tree away, then I mowed with it.

I generally consider Hyundais to be disposable but it has been relatively reliable, especially considering she does absolutely nothing to take care of it.
Possilble that an intensive hands on seminar complete with grease and oil immersion might remedy the lack of care being exhibited?

Finally managed to locate the remaining portion of that roll of self adhering/sealing tape that I just knew I had stashed somewhere; which turned out to be the torque wrench and tie wrap drawer in my basement master roller cab; Go figure.

Turns out it was not 3M but Locktite so spent a fair chunk of the subsequent afternoon chasing it on on line to get a part number............and succeeded! I have used this stuff before and it sticks to nothing but itself so great for doing insulating wraps. Come Monday I'll be calling the parts store to see if they carry the line or can order it in. All else fails, Amazon.

That 5/6 driven gear may need a puller to remove. So far I've gotten by with this and a heat gun.

I'm able to get at it from both sides.
We got as little into it as possible, didn't even really end up using all the parts I got. My buddy had debated on leaving the seal, but I said since we had it we might as well replace it even though the other one looked like it was fine. There weren't any shims under the input shaft so I guessing that Cochran screwed me on that deal and because of it then ate the pilot. We left the bearing and race because they were in good shape, threw it back together and as of now seems totally better. I know it is not a long term fix but wanted to spend as little time and money at the moment since both the Blazer and the Monte are always taking it
