I had a Camaro with the "DISK BRAKE" chrome insert on the brake pedal. I thought that would look good on my MC so I got the F Body pedal, took out the emblem and put it on mine since the F body pad is a whole lot longer. I also got a new pedal cover so I used my original pedal cover to test how to do it. So now I will take my time and make sure the cut out is the right size for the insert.

I've had that idea for my car years back in the '90's when I saw a 5 speed converted MCSS that had that style pedal covers. The owner welded on a set of donor metal pads correct for the pads. Wish the brake & clutch pads were that size to swap out for an option.

I have thought about cut/weld the bigger pedal but decided against it, instead do what I did. I'm wondering if the metal chrome outline for the gas pedal would fit as that pedal has cutouts for the metal tabs.

I've seen Grand Prix's over the years that had metal trim ment for our gas pedals. Not sure how hard it'll be to find one. If you would swap in the matching gas pedal you could get a repop trim kit.

I have found a few of the trimmed pedals over the years, pagrunt is correct only found on grand prix and then only early ones. Like 78 and maybe 79. Side note I did find that there are some 90's buicks or probably caddies that use the same e brake pad as our cars and have a stainless trim on them. I have a complete set in my 87 442. 20230330_130859.jpg 20230330_130907.jpg 20230330_130912.jpg

Is that a clutch/stick shift brake on the parking brake? If that's the case I might even be on the hunt for them.

No that's a e brake pad from some caddy or maybe buick from the 90's. Same size as our e brake pads but the design matches the brake pedal pads in our cars perfectly and has the stainless trim
