A/C (C60) was optional on all Cutlass body styles. Some packages "required" the C60 option to be added, like W40 (
Hurst/Olds) and early W42 (442)- later it became a part of the 442 package, but generally speaking, it was an extra cost option like most other things."Flow-thru" ventilation came standard.
The Brougham came with everything the Supreme did, except a few extras were tossed in- Brougham emblems, wide belt moldings and lower wide moldings, split bench seat with the cushy padded seat covers, and convenience group with visor vanity mirror, underdash lamps and trunk/underhood lamps, and chime tones.
Seems rather cheesy IMO, someone doling out the cash for a Brougham option, yet not taking the C60 A/C. Hmmm. Most people springing for the more upscale car got the A/C. Of course if they lived in Canada or upper Maine or something, maybe they felt they'd never need A/C??? Why spend a butt ton of money on it? Who knows.
Worth restoring? That could mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. If it's a V8 it might be. If you're starting with a solid, clean and straight example. Or is it a rusted out hulk? Nah, fix it to where you can drive it without your feet falling through the floor and go from there. That's a hint that you should take some pics and post. We love pictures.
