hey guys, thought i'd probe around for some info and to see what other guys have done with this... so i ordered the gbodyparts fuel injection conversion with dw pump and hot wire kit and was curious as to how others have adapted this set up to non computer controlled cars since i obviously dont have a factory ECM harness to plug into. also how have others adapted from the factory style ends on the sending unit to -6AN?

I just did it on my malibu. I used efi rubber hoses and double clamped using efi hose clamps on the sender side.

I also used a wix corvette filter that has the return built into it to avoid running a long hose front to back. I used a push lok -6an at the efi unit and clamped it to the 3/8 feed.

On the efi sender return I cut off the 1/4" necked down piece where in increased to the 5/16 and clamped it there.

It has held up very well.

I'd use a fuel pump hotwire kit for a turbo Buick and then all you need to add is a 12v wire to enable the fuel pump relay. Most efi ecms have a fuel pump relay control output.

yeah i actually talked to Brian at gbody parts (awesome guy!) and is helping me get the finer details down. its a shame the later end gbodies didnt come with factory efi, would have been sweet...

For the fuel pump relay trigger you just need to provide a switched 12v to b the wire that would typically connect to the ecm.
I have mine wired this way currently. Downside is that anytime you turn the key to the run position the fuel pump will run continuously.
I'll be installing one of these so that the pump will operate like it would with EFI:

For the AN fittings you can get AN to hose barb fittings. Use a short section of efi hose from the sender and then clamp the AN hose barb to it.
Your other option would have been to buy a sender from Ractronix. They have one with -6 and -8 fittings already installed on the hardline.

Look at Racetronix website, got a setup from them with pump and hotwire kit works great. Also they have a 6an setup so you can just get some nylon braided wire and run fuel, return and vent. Used Areomotive regulator with both high and low pressure springs so i could keep carb until i get the EFI money.
