hey everyone, up here in Canada alberta. 22 years old. In the middle of a lq4 swap with a build 4l60e. I decided to go with a fitech efi system. Might have some question along the way I'm no genus. So I heard good things about this forum.

Good progress you've got going on there! Anything done to the LQ modified wise, or just a pull, seal, and drop. It looks decent with some fresh paint. That color looks similar to what I used on the 5.3 I'm building.
That's a trick looking steam crossover setup. Care to elaborate where that was sourced from?

Also, whenever you get time, maybe share a bit more info on the Monte and anything that's been done to it.

I threw a big moth a thumper cam in her. Holly car oil pan. My lifters didn't wanna come out nice so I had to get new ones, harden push rods and new rockers and lapped the vavles. Hard to see in the picture but it's black with a touch of sparkles. Just apart bombed and the steam cross over I got my buddy to powder coat it! I'm re doing the fuel system at the moment to support the efi system also throwing in a true trac at the same time. Take her day by day

Is that crossover factory on the 6.0L? My 5.3 just has a front crossover and the rear ports had block off fittings. Working on gathering valvetrain parts to support the healthy Tick cam I installed awhile back.

Here's a pic of mine as it sits now. You will learn quick we love pics on this forum!

That's really clean I dig that! Yes that steam crossover was stock on the motor when I pick her up.

This is what the engine looked like before I touched it

Cast iron heads??? Or just gross from years of muck?
I pulled these heads, as well as a bunch of stuff from a suburban. I got lucky and found a freshly rebuilt short block on Craigslist and didn't have to mess with the yard schmutz lol!
