I'm getting myself so confused--I thought in previous research this was doable, but now I'm not able to find the threads that I thought showed how to do this. I have purchased a set of 2WD Blazer Spindles 98-05 and new sealed power hubs. I'd like to run the 12"LS1 rotors and aluminum calipers to fit under my 16" GTA wheels. If someone can shoot me so links as to how this can be done I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

A C5/C6 upgrade will require a caliper bracket and different hoses. Been done a kajillion times.

And works GREAT

But won't clear 16" GTA wheels...unfortunately. I'd love to go that route
I’m pretty sure that that the ls1 Trans am had 16“ on them. I don’t see why you can get some type of brakes to work with your 16” I’ll be looking to do something similar because I have Irocs.

According to my local wheel guru, inorder to run a 16" wheel with an LS1/C5/C6 (all the same size) then you need a 3 piece wheel with a big barrel.

The easy solution is a 17" wheel or run upgraded 2WD S10 brakes.

I missed the 16" GTA wheel in your original post.

Do you mean the LT1 (Or is it 1LE) Camaro 12" discs with the aluminum caliper? These will work with 15 or 16" wheels. decades ago this was the big deal for better brakes. These rotors have the hub built in like a stock G rotor. I don't know on the G body but this rotor would go on the old A body spindle 64- 77.

If you want to use the S-10 setup the standard 1999 f body rotor is 12" and uses a separate hub. There is your rotor just have to mount a caliper to it. A little poking around on rock auto, the caliper is aluminum and 2 piston and the caliper bracket is still available. just need a way to mount it on the spindle.

I'm not so sure the LT1 crap used a 12" rotor, and I'm damn sure its single piston caliper was iron. The 98+ got the 12" rotors and aluminum dual piston calipers.
