Anyone ever have a damaged paint can that was leaking pretty good? I don't have any empty cans to transfer it to. Will it hold up in a plastic container of some kind?
All I have are Folgers plastic coffee containers or a whey protein one.
Thanks

Home centers usually sell empty paint cans.
Depending on what type of paint you have, and what type of plastic container you have, it might work. It also might not.

the thing about can replacement(sounds like a procedure  ) is you need to shake the h*ll outta of the damaged one to be sure you get all that's settled @the bottom for transfer.otherwise you're open to chance of having an issue.the standard mixing paint cups are plastic so there's a chance the best part of waking up might be worth a shot.

I stirred it quite a lot and put it in 2 coffee containers
I ordered a metal unlined paint can
It's a single stage satin black
BTW I contacted Summit Racing and they are sending a new one anyway. Good customer service but considering how much money I've spent with them since around 1990 (when I got the bug. 😆) I expect nothing else. First time I've ever had an issue.

Ive been painting stuff in my garage for quite a few years. At least 95% single stage. I had an issue with one can. From that point on I made a point of always having a few new empty quart cans in my cabinet. Hope Depot sells them pretty cheap.

Thank god he didn't use the whey protein can. That would have been a disaster
