Wondering what 60’s are attainable from a Regal with stk frame with bolt-ons such as upper and lower control arms, etc?

Stock concept with fully oem hole positions or relocated holes?

1/4 mile maybe 11's if all the holes are in the full OEM position.

7's is feasible with bracing and adjustable hole positions to dial in the instant center.

If you are unlucky as I was and only have a one-wheel-wonder. Best I got was in a the 15’s. 455 Olds/TH400/3:73 on 14” wheels. Did great 1/8 mile burnouts!

I guess i should have worded a bit different. I'm wanting to know what the G-Body is capable of sixty-footing with just bolt-ons for suspension. Let assume motor/trans/rear/slicks are all up to the task...?
I'm going to start another thread with my setup and what i'm trying to accomplish.

A stout street car can tear the LCA mounts out of the frame. If you’re seriously racing the car and have sticky tires, welding in gussets is required, which is beyond bolt-ons. You can rip off a few good 60’ times with only bolt-ons but it’s only a matter of time before the grenade explodes.

Slick or radial, weight, trans brake or foot brake, NA, turbo, blower or nitrous all makes a big difference.

If you are asking here I assume the car is slower than 11's, and yeah, it can do it, but you might need to take a look at instant center depending on tire height, ride height...

Car has a 800 N/A hp BBC with power glide, 3800 stall, trans brake, 9" rear and 275/60R15 MT ET Street Radials. Got it from a guy that street raced it. Has alot of good stuff but also alot was overlooked. Car currently has UMI non adjustable rear control arms and single adjustable upper's. No frame bracing that i can see and rear frame has not been notched. I know the suspension will need work which is why i'm asking. I have no experience with G-Bodies so i'm asking what they are capable of. I'm no welder and i don't have alot of $$$ to throw at the car. Trying to see what can be done before deciding on a course of action.
I'll start another thread with specifics as to what i have, what i'm hoping for and maybe someone with experience can offer direction.

With those credentials it sounds like a solid high 8 second car with a sorted setup.

Depending on the 9" it might already have lowered LCA pickup points on the housing. A stock G body is set up more to 'squat' for slicks rather than 'lift' like a drag radial wants.

No cage I assume? That's going to hurt. A G body really needs some type of chassis reinforcement once you get sub 10's.

If you are crazy enough to run 8's at the track without a cage, (maybe once until they kick you out) and want bolt ons, UMI also sells a LCA to UCA brace that helps stiffen things up. Nothing wrong with UMI adjustable uppers and non adjustable lowers as long as they don't have polyurethane.

I'm far from the expert as I have a high 10 sec capable heavy G body without a cage but I am at the point where I need to address chassis stiffening and making all my suspension bushings heim (or solid) due to tire shake issue. Low 9's or high 8's NA it's 100% going to need a good chassis.

I'm sorry bro, i forgot to mention it has a 6pt roll bar. I'm aware that will need upgrading as well....

Basically you have nothing usable. Start with a full cage tying the frame all together and then worry about suspension. IF it is a true 800 hp car, it should run 9.30's about 141 with 3200 total weight. Mine did. went 1.29 in 60' doing it.
