    Homemade Bracing

    Scot W @ GNS Performance offers a kit for a rear frame rail brace I’ve had mine installed for quite some time & can vouche for how it keeps those rails from flexing….really helps to tighten up the back end of these cars

    Nope, sorry I didn’t run it with the 180 until I had the chip fan turn on / turn off changed . Guess you can give it a try and monitor things first

    Not with no T stat & distilled water. I’m surprised you even got above 150-160 in the cool weather running like that

    I ended up getting my fan turn on / turn off set points altered on my chip to better suit the 180 deg T stat. My fans now come on at 188 deg F & off T 170 deg f Maybe think about sending your chip back & re-burned to suit the new 180 T stat?

    Changed over from a 160 to 180 T stat since installing aluminum radiator . The 160 didn’t allow warm enough engine operating temperature . If yours is a race car then keep it but for the street definitely go with the 180

    Turbo Buicks came with a 180 deg T stat from the factory , 195 deg T stat for NA motors

    rear control arm bolts

    I might have a complete set of used (but original) bolts for you. Set them aside in my nuts n bolts bin when changing over to aftermarket rear control arms. Lemme dig thru my bucket of bolts this afternoon for ya . Might even have the nuts too!
