Does Anyone Have a Cracked/Broken '78-80 Regal Header Panel Laying Around?

Does anyone happen to have a broken, cracked, or otherwise useless '78-80 Regal header panel laying around? If so, I am in need of the (2) stand-off bolts that mount behind the lower inside corners of the headlight buckets.

1981 231 V6. Which way does the rotor point for the distributor?

With the #1 cylinder at TDC of the compression stroke, the rotor should point to the #1 spark plug tower. Even though you set the crank “at” TDC, it could be the TDC of the #1 exhaust stroke, in which case the #4 cylinder would be at TDC of its compression stroke, and the rotor should be...

78 Sport Regal Turbo Wheels stock or option?

The poly cast wheels were an option, code PE3, for any ‘78 Regal. I’m pretty sure they were one year only because ‘79 Regals got the PE1 designer wheel option & PE4 turbine wheel option (the latter being Sport Coupe only).

    REGAL Rare??

In ‘78 the Regal came standard with a 3 speed manual if it had the 3.2L v6, and standard with a 4 speed manual if it had the 3.8L (except for California cars or cars with the NA6 high altitude pkg., which were all automatics). The other versions that didn’t have a manual trans available were...

Buick 350 Swap / AC Box clearance

I didn’t take a ton of pics when I was trying to fit the 350 with the A/C heater box, but here’s all of what I have (a few of which are in the build thread).

Buick 350 Swap / AC Box clearance

In all the digging I did leading up to my swap (which you referenced in the first link above), I seemed to see a lot of mixed information, but it made me fairly optimistic that the heater box modifications could/would be minimal. Obviously in my case that wasn’t true. Another common train of...

Another Question For Factory Manual Trans Car Owners

Is anyone with a factory manual trans car able to provide a picture of the wire connector/plug that attaches to the clutch safety switch?

Question For Those With Factory Manual Trans Cars

In the process of doing a frame-off restoration of my ‘78 Regal, I’m also converting it to a 4 speed manual. My end goal is for the car to appear as factory original as possible, so I’d like everything about the trans swap to be “right”. That being said, where does the backup lamp harness (from...

HVAC to Standard Heater Box Conversion

I have a blower motor harness available (see link below) if that’s the one you need. M&H also reproduces both harnesses as well. https://gbodyforum.com/threads/heat-only-non-a-c-parts.87332/

    Bernadine: 1978 Buick Regal Restoration/Build

I almost forgot: I also put the front bench seat back in the car, because a) I wanted to sit in the car, and b) I wanted the seat off my garage floor. But the best part of having the seat back in was getting to see my kids sit in the car for the first time ever.

    Bernadine: 1978 Buick Regal Restoration/Build

Update, July 13, 2023: Yesterday wasn’t as much of a thrash day as the other Wednesdays this summer, but I was able to get several necessary tasks completed. I did some more adjusting to the driver door, and it’s now just about perfect for “factory fit/gaps”. I also got the header panel hung...
