Thats a Really Clean GP and they arent getting any easier to find in that condition. If it were me I'd throw it on Feebay and see what it does as you can use a reserve and a BIN. I got really lucky when I found mine as it was one family owned car out on LI but needed some TLC.

I think their pretty rare as Ive only seen a handful on Ebay etc and they aren't making them anymore. Id like to have one to go with my T-top car.

Ever consider a turbo setup for your Malibu? I think a turbo'd smallblock would give you what your looking for.

4spd GP.... Just my 2 cents worth..... Id put a warmed over 350 in it or larger and enjoy the car. As said earlier; Id keep any original parts for possible reinstallation later. Mine had a 301 4bbl in it and it did what it was intended.....got the car from A to B. It now has a '71 455/ TH400...

Looks really straight and solid; doesnt sound bad either! Same color as mine. Im sure you'll have it going in the direction you want in no time.
