I did hit an unexpected snag, which was probably why it was parked in 2000. I got it out to take it around the block once i got the exhaust all sealed back up, and when its cold its fine however once it warms up a touch cylinder 3 says hello. Baaaaaad knock and once its warm even at idle you can...
Good eye! correct there is a slight wave where the most crushed area was. But what i figured was i could spend a bunch of time getting it perfect, or go enjoy it this spring. Im also curious how much it will be noticeable when i put the new half top on. Well when i spray it on that is :censored:
Ooook so just another update and big reveal! I started roughing in all the body work. Not going for perfect, but not being smashed and rotten was the goal.
Then I got the body filler as leveled as I needed it to be.
Then the big reveal, all in primer and ready to go. Complete with actual window...
Yeah for sure! Especially one that has been sitting outside forever and had a tree fall on it. Out of all the Cutlass's i have had i think this is only the 3rd i have bought with a vinyl top and I got really lucky on the first two. This one i kind of figured had issues, but i was even a bit shocked.

I will look at the ID tag. It's really hard to tell what color it us because of the fading. I'll snap a few pictures as well of the areas the sun didn't get to
I for sure don't want the forum to go away, which hopefully that doesn't happen. I think things might improve a bit because kids like my son are starting to build Gbodys. My son has his Cutlass all finished and knows several others that have been given them by their parents. So I think they are...
Okay so last night i continued the work on the roof on the drivers side. I got the roof dollied in a little bit better where the big dent had made the roof lose some of its shape. Then i continued with the patch work. I made a new corner for the window channel by bending a small piece around my...
Progress on the roof. I moved on to the passenger side and have the major dent mostly removed.
Then I moved on to cleaning up the rust and removing the really rotted spots.
After that was complete I started welding in the patch panels. It's turning out pretty good so far. Still having to be...
