FOR SALE 79 Olds 260 diesel, 39,000 miles, Trans & 7.5 rear end

Ahh yeah the 79 only one. I was thrown off by the 260 part. I think the smaller diesel was "officially" called out as a 261 with something like 105 HP i think, but don't remember for sure. Don't take it the wrong way, but you may have a lot of trouble even giving that away with the reputation...

    OLDS 12SI alternator on Amazon

So is this the 140 amp version that you don't have to get the wiring adapter for and change the pulley like you do on the later 140 amp ones? I was getting ready to buy those so this looks like it may be a much better solution. If it works of course.

    HELP Gage cluster swap

Has anyone swapped in the actual gage cluster in a cutlass that started as the sweep style speedo to the factory round individual gages? The wiring will have to be put in as my cars wiring was butchered when I got it but wondering if anyone has managed to do this using the factory plug or if you...

    1987 Cutlass Build

Well some slight progress and good news. Haven't had a lot of time to work on the cutlass but I did manage to get ahold of a VFN hood yesterday. Looks great! Still needs finishing but that will happen eventually

My First Attempt At Painting An Engine.

I especially like the cardboard behind the passenger valve cover. Keeping overspray down was obviously a concern

My First Attempt At Painting An Engine.

That's for sure, You can always tell the parts that come back to my plant from assembly because they will be just hosed in red paint. Most of the time can see where the wiring was sitting or a sticker or really anything. Just fog it. The full engine goes into a booth and then robots have a...

    CUTLASS Project "In between"

Update: interior is going back in, did a little more work to the quarter panel to get it ready for filler. So (after a small fire inside the car) the interior is going back together which means the completely ruined headliner needed redone. So i did the right thing and ordered padded blue suede...

    1987 Cutlass Build

Yeah im very interested to see how its going to run, or if it was a wasted experiment. Time will tell on that one. My advice is to not let it take too long. Have your ducks in a row and get it back together with a realistic goal. This car was last on the road in 2011 and now just getting back...
