Hello all my vehicle is a 86 cutlass 305 i was running a th350 it ceased to function i installed a th250 prior to doing so i consulted my parts supplier about the flexplate they said use the same one. After installing it the holes do not match up to torque converter it turns out i need plate...

im trying to use it with a 305 the problem im running into is that the converter is to far from the flywheel the fly wheel is from a th350 but should be the same it has 156 teeth or some such

hi there i have a 86 cutlass 305 with a th350 the trans is toast i have a th200 but i am unsure which converter i need is there a different converter for v6 and v8 cars

i have been told that any time you dropa transmission pan there will be a small amount of metal flake ?? is this not true

so i dropped the pan no large chunks but there were little metal specks which i would assume are the norm i dont know how much is too much

ill drop the pan tommorow stayed tuned for the next chapter

if the transmission is toast why would it shift through all gears fine when its in the air ??

i already had it running for a few months i dont believe its the tourque converter or transmission im thinking rear end maybe....

um i did not have it out trans was just rebuilt fluid is good pretty much if i put the car in the air everything works 100% on the ground no go in the forward backwards is ok though transmission shifts fine drive shaft spins i dont get it ??

so my car basically has no movement on the ground except in reverse but heres the catch i thought the drive shaft wasnt working so i put the car on jack stand it works in every gear forward reverse park wheels spin d/s spins all good right nope once i put the car down only reverse actually...

hey there i was wondering if anyone knows the length of the cable to run a th350 with the stock floor shift i have a 29 3/4 length right now is this correct thanks blinks

hi there i recently had an issue where every gear was 1st i diagnosed the problem as being the s clip falling off in the trans pan after reattaching and adding fluid etc i now cannot find any gear when shifting it seems to go into gear now and then as if its caught between them i am thinking...

fluids fine i was thinking possibly the trans modulator...... any thoughts on this
