    Baseline Suspensions

Apparently, Kevin's (Baseline) and my email didn't like each other. He used his personal email and answered my questions. The 8.8 installation parts arrived 3 days later.

    Baseline Suspensions

Has anyone delt with Baseline Suspensions lately, I can't seem to get a response regarding the 8.8 installation parts? The website is up, are they still open?

    8.8 and Mustang sway bar

I am installing an 8.8 from a 2001 Mustang in a 1978 Salon. Has anyone figured out how to use the Mustang sway bar with this combo? The Mustang bar attached to the control arms, are there aftermarket control arms that allow bolting in the Mustang bar?

    HELP Jegs crossmember

I have a 1978 Cutlass Salon that originally had a 231 V6, replaced it with a 455 Olds/TH350. I am going to install ARH headers and dual exhaust. The trans crossmember will have to be modified or changed. My question: is the chevy SB crossmember the same as the Olds crossmember? Jegs crossmember...

    8.8 in Cutlass

Same here, been looking for 5 years, bought one with a bent tube, thought it could be fixed, couldn't. Two showed up at pick-n-pull last week, the 97 was gone the second day, the 2001 was in a low spot of the yard (3 inches of water). Hadn't even had the rear brakes replaced. I will redrill...

    8.8 in Cutlass

I just came home from the junkyard (I know, auto disassembly facility) with a Mustang 8.8. What is that huge chunk of iron bolted to the bottom of the center section? I haven't seen that on any of my GM or Chrysler cars.

    Body mount bushing

Finally got all the body bushings installed in my 1978 Salon. How tight are the bolts supposed to be? Compressing the bushing like shock absorbers, until the washers stop on the metal sleeve,......?

    At a loss......

Are you sure the coil ground in the HEI is in place and in good condition. The lack of a coil ground causes the coil to overheat and stops producing high voltage, but usually works when cooled down. It's unfortunate that I know this.

    Coolant/ anti freeze

Distilled water has some of the un-dissolved solids removed, but not the ionized materials (salts). Deionized water has the ionized salts removed and that makes it very corrosive,

Add battery acid or distilled water?

Distilled water only, the water evaporates during heavy charging or overcharging due to heat. The sulfate in the acid is a salt and will not evaporate. Vinegar (acetic acid) will act as a buffer and change the pH of the solution, don't add vinegar. BS Chemistry.

    Hesitation/Pop at 3/4 throttle, Buick 231

It's lean. More jet or smaller rods. My 1978 Olds that we have had since new did this, dealer couldn't fix. I went up one size on the main jets and the problem went away. Never had to pass an emission test in Michigan.
