Can't use rivets, they check to make sure the brakes stop at tech, that's why I'm iffy about backing off the adjuster. I'm planning on running the brake shoes like you said. And, no, the rear isn't locked (illegal).
I race a street stock and I'm trying to look for a smaller wheel cylinder to run on the right side, to decrease braking on the right side (like an undersized caliper for the right front). Is there anything that would bolt right in place of the stock 3/4" cylinder one? (kinda like the S10 does...
Re: Bypass pulley/power steering bypass pulley (where to buy
If you're using v-belts, just switch to a shorter belt. For instance Autozone part # 15420 is a 42" belt, so measure around the pulleys and then plug you're measurement into that part number. For instance, a 35.5" belt, #15355. A 44"...
We run a rev limiter right now and I'm hitting it a little earlier than I'd like to, hence why I want to change. I know it won't make a huge difference, my final ratio is only going down 0.22.
I'm looking for a 3.08 gear for my 7.5" rear. I know what cars came with a 7.5, but I was wondering if there were any cars that are more likely to have the 3.08 in it? I would buy new, but this is for a budget class race car and I don't want to spend too much money on them. Thanks in advance.
I believe up to an 85. It was 86 when they changed to one piece seals. However, if you'd like to reuse the oil pan, you'll need to set the limit at a 79. In 80 they changed to right side dipstick.
I think cars should still be able to turn, even if they're full blown track cars ;)

Quadrajet
2" dual exhaust
TH350 trans
3.23 7.5" rear
Currently ~24.9 seconds on a half mile, but that was before a lot of new parts I put on...
I know it starts in first, but I was thinking it shouldn't shift back down to first after that. The fluid was a little low, so I added some. Unfortunately there isn't another practice until July 12th.
No it hasn't had a track specific rebuild, waiting for the off season. In the past it's worked ok, but I've never pushed it as hard as I have started to recently. I'll put a vacuum hose on and see next time I'm at the track though.
Not hooked up at all. Same with the kick-down cable. A little more info on when it's doing it, it's a circle track trans, when I let off the throttle going into the corner it downshifts to 1st, then I have to slam the gas to get it to upshift again.
I'm running a th-350 and when I put it in 2nd gear it still tries to shift. Now, in my opinion, when I put it in 2nd it shouldn't shift. Am I correct in thinking this? If so what could be causing it to shift? And if not is there a way to stop it from shifting?
EDIT: I forgot to mention, it's...
I know this is kinda a old thread, but for future reference I came across a company that sells a stock type tunnel.
