temp sender is for coolant and they claimed it was for a gauge. It is in the same spot, on the front drivers side of the intake, right by the waterneck

For those of you with 86's....

I have recently swapped 86' elky round gauges into my 79' and cant figure out what the right sending units are for the coolant temp. and oil pressure. For those without a computer on their car, what sending units do you use? i heard the senders have to come from the same year car as the gauges...

Old school engines vs ls swap debate!!

My suggestion is just putting on efi, to make things easier. You still get the nice old school look, but the benefits of having efi. I recommend FiTech, they have it very cheap and is a direct bolt on. FiTech

    New temperature sending unit

Does anybody know what the part number is or where i can get an OEM electric temp and oil pressure sending unit for a 1986 elco? I recently did a round gauge swap into my '79 elco and i need the same year sending units as the gauges (which is '86) so they are accurate.

Daily driver. I know its going to suck gas, so I foresee a 5 speed/ 2004r swap when I get some money that I'm willing to spend. I'm about done with the rally gauge swap, I put in a brand new tach and gps speedo. Other than that, I just plan to drive it.

About me: I'm 15, almost 16. My first car is an elky, and it is the best thing I could ever ask for. Can't wait to start to drive it on my own. I've had it for about 7 months. It's a 1979, with a mild 350 and a th350 behind it (More details in the images) Album Thanks for reading!
