Gear ratio help
Wrong for the axle he has, that's for an 8.5". If funds are limited, look for a gear set that fits the carrier you have (3.08 and numerically less). Once you are into a 3.23 and up you'd need a new carrier. If you can turn up a cheap set I'd put a 3.08 gear set in and not look back, esp with 3...- WanaBa442

anyone else buying up parts before tariffs hit?
Second job out of high school was in a synthetic bristle mfg. Made broom bristles, brushes etc etc, even artificial Christmas tree needles. Hotter than Hades but the pay was good. Within 10 yrs after I left the place closed due to all the mfg moving overseas. manufacturing still hasn't returned...- WanaBa442

Tire recommendations
I heard Cooper got bought and some say the quality went south. I went with Master craft Avengers a few years back. Cheaper than the aforementioned two and nice ride. White letters were available too- WanaBa442

What did you do to your non g-body project today [2025 edition]
Lost power for 3 days in 1997 in February ice storm. My boss at the time went to Costco and bought 6500k generators for anyone who wanted one. I got one and have never used it since My neighbor who was living " off grid" borrowed it to fluff up his battery bank after his windmill went offline...- WanaBa442

More body issues
Putting more Bondo on that is like putting a Bandaid on a melanoma. It'll cover it up and make it look better, but the cancer underneath will still grow.... Depends on your end goal I guess.- WanaBa442

differences between 81 and 82 7.5 rear
